Trains and Drains

It started off as a struggle to get a little boy ready for bed. As I got his toothbrush ready, Andrew ran for the nearest hiding spot-the shower. Once in there, he decided it was a good idea to remove the hair trap, leaving a hole in the floor. Did I mention he had three small trains in his hands? You guessed it-one of the trains dropped right out of Andrew's hand and down that hole. He came SCREAMING out of my bathroom (and I do mean screaming).

Erik wasn't very happy either when he realized what had happened and the task set before him. Not to fret-this story has a happy ending. After multiple attempts to rescue the train, consulting my parents and a quick trip to Menards for a $1.50 part, the train was out. Andrew was still awake and delighted to find his train back with its rightful owner. Erik was happy that a call to the plumbers wasn't going to be necessary.

All's well that ends well.
