What do you do on a 90 degree day? Grandma's answer to the predicted hot week was a lemonade stand and day at the beach. Monday was the perfect day for Sophia's first ever lemonade stand. With her grandma's help, she made the lemonade and sign and set up her post. Business was booming! She had a lot of fun, made funny comments like, "Oh man! I guess we better get this guy some lemonade." and made quite a profit in the short time she was out there-$9.53. She even received several tips for her hard work.
Tuesday we all headed to the beach for a morning of fun. We were there by 10:00 but it was already pretty warm. Andrew and Sophia had fun splashing around in the water and playing in the sand. Andrew insisted on carrying his own chair all the way down to the water and back up again. He was determined to do it on his own and each time we asked him if he wanted help, we were met with a resounding NO.
